Corpogest-MP
Medroxyprogesterone 10mg TAB – Medroxyprogesterone acetate, a medication used to treat endometriosis and irregular uterine bleeding, is what makes up Corpogest-MP. A progestin is medroxyprogesterone acetate (female hormone). It functions by substituting for the insufficiently produced natural progesterone hormone in the body. In menopausal women using estrogen, relieves painful, irregular, or nonexistent menstrual cycles and avoids uterine lining expansion (another female hormone). Additionally, it serves as a contraceptive.
A female hormone called medroxyprogesterone acetate controls ovulation and menstruation in females. In women who have not yet reached menopause, it aids in starting the menstrual cycle (periods). Additionally, it prevents postmenopausal women taking estrogen for hormone replacement therapy from developing an enlarged uterus (HRT). When estrogens are administered to postmenopausal women who have not surgically removed their uterus, medroxyprogesterone acetate is used to prevent the thickening of the uterine lining. It also aids in the treatment of amenorrhea (cessation or irregular menses cycle for more than three months). Additionally, it is used alongside estrogens as a component of menopausal replacement treatment.
If you have ever experienced bleeding issues or have a family history of blood clots, stroke, heart attack, liver difficulties, or bleeding issues, you must inform your doctor before taking this medication. Your other medications should be disclosed to your doctor as many of them may reduce or alter the effectiveness of this medication. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not use this medication.
Take the Medroxyprogesterone acetate Tablet as directed by your doctor. Your doctor will determine how much medication you require and for how long. Although it can be taken with or without food, it is best to take it at a set time. As long as it has been prescribed for you, you should continue taking this medication.
The most frequent negative effects of this medication include headache, nausea, dizziness, and abdominal pain. Tell your doctor if any of them cause you any discomfort. There might be techniques to lessen or stop them. Additionally, it could result in bleeding, spotting, or irregular periods between periods. If this occurs often, tell your doctor.
After ovulation, the medroxyprogesterone acetate tablet aids in preparing the endometrium for pregnancy. It makes the endometrium’s lining thicker so that it can accommodate a fertilized egg. Additionally, it stops uterine muscle spasms that would cause the uterus to reject an egg. Thus, ovulation won’t occur if the body has a high level of progesterone.
